The month of August...oh maaaaan so hot.

It is already August and sad to say but I FINALLY recovered to my some-what normal self adjusting to the heat of Japan. Wow, this time it took a bit longer than I thought....but maybe since i was in LA longer my body was all back in the "Cali-body".

So time is passing by rather quickly and realized that it is about 3 MONTHS till Becky and Marc's wedding...!

i finally got the chance to check out my laptop at a cafe here in Japan to try out the wi-fi but it sorta didnt go thru....i ended up going to the internet cafe. time to update on my Japan-land summer.

Not much has happened since im slowly getting out (trying to manage the not-too-hot days) but realized that just sitting inside the train and checking out the scenery tends to be cooler cuz the train is all airconditioned. LOL I havent been able to do much walking but i try to walk inside certain malls i find, or i go EARLY in the morning and ride the train and get off and walk about a few stations.

*Matt McCabe was in Japan....!!!!! we have lost touch since UC Irvine and now of all places, we meet again and hang out here in Japan. Good times. =)

we went out to AKIHABARA and hung out at the arcade with all them lights. here is me with the lil furry friend, Kapibara. i love the crain game....!

*SHOKO....!!!! - since she is leaving for Boston soon, we have been planning to go hang out at a cute place calld SHIMOKITAZAWA. its one of the lil local hip-area. very mellow...sorta reminds you of a cross between Santa Monica or Venice without the beach. (has cute lil thrift stores, cafes, and chilaxed locals) we walked into a cute little hidden cafe for lunch and it was soo yummy. It was Asian-filipino mix cuisine eatery with the down-home "mom's cooking" style.

- we walked along this cute greenery promenade and had the baby duckies. very peaceful. Thank goodness this day was over cast and perfect temperature. =)

(who knew there is such a lil eco-friendly canal in middle of the city.)

* Meeting up for some good-time chat with my old co-worker, Suke-san. - Indian/Nepal restaurant for lunch. maaaan, their Spinach mushroom curry was GREAT! the size of the naan is amazing....

Some of my Unique finds "Only in Japan" items:

"SHIRO-ISSANT" = "White Croissant"
-this was an item that was on a TV show and now it was sold around the country from a Convenient store starting 8/1.
It was just so neat to actually be able to check out what the show invented made into reality, so yes, i got one.
Original recipe (made with the collaboration of a bakery and this comedian, Yabe)
that contains White Creamy chowder(stew) in a white croissant.
Hence the name
WHITE CROISSANT.
Brilliant creation. must say, i dont usually like these types, but .....A+++ (yummm)

im doing all rite. (as you can see...LOL)
Ive already read all the books I had bought from CA.....both were good reads. Im now book-less, so rereading some old books over again. Now, I am reading Persuasion by Jane Austen.

ill be back in CA in no time, now that i realized.
