Handled it...!

okay, i did it. i finished the race. safe and sound. and not only did i cross the finish line and got to tackle my "to-do" thing, i came in at 5 hours and 54 minutes 04 seconds.

being this my very first marathon, and not having any training/ no good running gear and all, i wasnt expecting this AT ALL. so i had proved myself wrong today and i surprised myself as well.
good job, me. and it was a good race. i didnt realize i can run more than 10 miles, i ran the first 15 miles straight without stopping. thank goodness for not passing out. haa. its hot tho. we will see how my legs feel tomorrow.

one day left...! ooh SNAP -- HONOLULU RACE DAY

okay, here i found a chance to blog about what is now coming to be the day before my very first FULL marathon a la Honolulu.

right now, im not at my best weight - over weight in my mind - and that leads me being out of shape. this race is not about how fast i can finish, but its the matter of finishing completely and crossing that finish line.
I am sure that if i can overcome this, ill gain something that will make me a bit greater individual.

praying for myself to survive the full race of 26.2 miles along the beach line of Waikiki Beach, HI.
(we shall see where I will be around this time of the day exactly the day from now....!)

aaah, i just miss being in america.

Autumn Colors of Japan (Nov - Dec)

I wasnt abe to fully recover to my normal self after coming back from LA to Japan since i was in LA for such a long time this visit, but now i was a bit better now. Its already December and realized that Iam leaving for Hawaii for the HONOLULU Marathon today as we speak. But okay, for me the time isnt that big of a n issue, im not aiming for any super fast time. I just want to be able to finish the race and be able to know that i accomplished it.
=)

November to December was a bit gloomy and i was feeling blue but i had to just snap out of it and try and get by.
i realized that the older im getting, the slower my metabolism is becoming and i am NOT happy....or i just need to get back in shape, damn. not good.

The week after i got back, I was able to come visit my parents house with my Brother and hung out with him and my parents. It was good times.Seems like theres been some family drama while I was in PV and things are weird but a bit civil between my mother and father.
it really is great being able to be onmy own my little apartment, just the fact that im left alone, love that freedom - sooo liberating.

but some good news and many more GREAT happy news among my fellow friends as well.
*got to see my great brother
*got internest set up in my apartment
*visited YOUROU KEIKOKU (YOUROU Canyon, Chiba prefecture) - the hiking and the trails among the waterfalls was quite amazing. the leaves were soo crisp and the colors wereso vibrant. it was a nice day; not too crazy and it went by as a peaceful day with my parents. phew.

(i helped my dad with his new digital camera shopping. )
*Juan and Patricia in Japan! - so i took the over-nite bus ride to Osaka to hang out with them for a day. it was a long crammed up bus ride but it was okay, at least just slept the nite and was able to make this happen.

(Congrats to them, for their engagement happend on 11/22 == "II FUU FU No Hi" (Good husband&wife day)

Japan is cold and i know its gonna get worse but the changing colors of the leaves are just fascinating.
Also, maybe 2009 is like a "CHAIN REACTION year" with the big "E". =P
