mid-way into the starting month

seems like time sure is flying by fast. It is already January's half-way point into the 2009...aa but its freezing cold...........brrrrrrr

i dont feel like ive been doing anything too static and hectic but sorta been keeping busy. I know ive been getting out and walking easily for about 2 hours into the Tokyo and the lil subrubs of the city. But most of all, im on my "Cafe Search mission" for the most part. *wink*

But anywho, im slowly starting to make my own little "apartment box" into a place where humans can live.(LOL) but lets see, JUSTIN IS HERE NOW in japan for his study abroad for Law School at Temple University, JP. We got to go hang out together right when he got here. We went out to go check out the best commuting route for his school, so we made a little trip out and about to the city. Found out that we live real close to one another! that is great. Now its funny how i can say i have a friend here. heh heh. but it gave me this tingle...sorta like a tickle sitting on the train with Justin here in Japan. Never imagined back in highschool this day would come - 2 of us sitting on the metro in Japan land. Good times. man, we go way back....and i am very very thankful for our friendship. we were gonna go check out Asakusa but ended up going to MONJYA-Yaki again(like last year when he visited japan). haa, its cute to make it like an Annual-new-years date @ Monjya every year. hahaha, and no matter what, i dont think we are doing it right. (look at him goooo)

***Lessons on Monjya (which there still are many wonders even for myself)***

1) you create a dome-like shape with the ingredients

2) "supposedly" pour in the liquid base of the Monjya

3) start mixing them all on the hot grill and scrape off the burnt-like parts. practically be eating the mush you created and molded.

4)im wondering how many of you think this is gross and make you want to lose your appetite. LOL

**just think of the Japanese Pancakes but less flour and more liquid-based.

Also, Lisa was here in Japan too so we got together for coffee and had our usual "good times". its just weird that it "doesnt feel weird" to be hanging out and chilling with Lisa in any other country.

And i dont think ive ever realized how good sea kelp is, MOZUKU, when they cooked it in this stir fry at OKINAWA Restaurant!!! I also got to go help out line the items at the new opening store. good times.
man-o-man. I wanna go to Okinawa~~~.
